I am so excited to say that I have hit 100 Likes on my Facebook page www.facebook.com/teacherplayground. This is a huge milestone for me and I wanted to do something really great. I have paired up with fellow bloggers and they have graciously donated their items.
Hello Kristen! Thanks for the fantastic giveaway and a big CONGRATS to you on 100 likes! I am happy to be part of it and to donate some items from my store!
As long as I can remember, I wanted to be a teacher! As a child I would play school for hours with my pretend class and chalkboard. My teachers would give me their special dustless chalk and extra dittos. There is not a significant event or reason that I can remember. I guess it was just a calling!
I'm in it now for my love of children and the creativity I enjoy so much! It's not just a job, it's my passion!
I went into education because of my first grade teacher. I wanted to inspire children to be successful and to have a love for reading. lraines78@gmail.com
I went into education because I love working with young children and helping them learn and grow as young individuals. Lisa Learning Is Something to Treasure
As I child/ teenager, I never imagined that I would grow up to be a teacher! I always loved school and reading and learning, but I took a longer path than most in discovering that this is the profession for me. It wasn't until I was 23 and finally considering university studies that I realised that teaching ticks all the boxes for me. My main motivation is wanting to help people and to help make the world a better place, so initially I thought psychology would be a good fit. Then I realised that instead of fixing 'broken' adults, it makes more sense to try to prevent children from becoming broken in the first place. I love academics, but for me, the most important thing about teaching is building healthy self image and strong character so that children are prepared to face whatever challenges their lives hold. And of course to open their eyes and minds to new experiences, possibilities and all of the beauty that the world contains!
I always wanted to be a teacher-I guess half of my family being teachers is one of the main reasons!
